This photo was truly spur of the moment, as the gigantig bird cruiesed mere feet overhead…nine-foot majestic wingspan in full spread, silently gliding…so near and intimidating. I had only a moment to swing up my lens and start firing off shots… To my great surprise when reviewing, this shot was framed perfectly, as is without cropping…the only shot out of a sequence of many that actually came out at all. (Oh, if only its head and crest were in full view!)
